Welcome to the Animal Jump Zone!
Here you can test how far you can jump – and compare your jump with the animals waiting for you! Don’t worry, they’re not real (they won’t bite!) – they’re drawn on a big board.
You’ll find a guinea pig, a sparrow, a fox, a deer, a lynx, and many more amazing jumpers!
Try to jump more and find out if the guinea pig becomesš feature! And when they jumpš you're more than a lynx, well, you really are šchampion onšhe Ranch!
Stand at the starting line, run as fast as you can, and jump as far as your legs will take you!
Then see which animal you landed near — and find out who your jumping buddy is and how big a champion you are!
FUN FACTS FROM THE WORLD OF JUMPERS!
Animals are masters of efficient jumping.
For example, a lynx or a deer jumps “economically” — each leap is calculated to save as much energy as possible. In humans, we would call this smart planning!
The lynx is a silent ninja!
When a lynx jumps, you hear… nothing! Its paws are soft like cushions, so even when it leaps far, it lands like a ghost. And it can even jump directly onto a branch without running first.
The fox does the “mouse pounce”!
When a fox hears a mouse under the snow, it freezes… then LEAPS high into the air and lands right on target! Sometimes it even lands headfirst like an acrobat – and often catches the mouse even through half a meter of snow!
The sparrow is no weakling!
Although it looks tiny, when it takes off, it has the power of a small rocket. If it were the size of a human, its “launch force” would catapult it onto a rooftop!
