DENDROPHONE
A dendrophone is a musical instrument that uses wood from different trees instead of metal or plastic. Each piece of wood produces a unique sound depending on the type of tree it comes from.
When we gently tap the wooden “keys” with a mallet, they produce tones that differ in color, pitch, and length. Playing the dendrophone teaches us to experience wood with all our senses – not just sight and touch, but also hearing!
